Beauty: DIY Calming Face Wash

We have a little DIY beauty tip for you bunnies today:

INGREDIENTS

1 cup milk
1/2 cup dried oatmeal
1 Tbs. honey
3 Tbs. brown sugar

Sounds kind of delicious to us… and it will be just as delicious for our skin!

Simply mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl and gently use a desired amount as your face wash.  The rest of the mixture can be sealed & saved for up to 5 days.

THE BENEFITS
The oatmeal’s texture will work as an exfoliant, helping to remove dead skin cells.  It will also act as an anti-inflammatory due to its avenanthramides (which helps to reduce redness).   The milk will sooth & moisturize while the antimicrobial honey disinfects.

Ta-dah!

Tuesday Tips: The Perfect Night In

We feel it in the air… the cold that is. Nights are getting chillier which can only mean it’s time to start planning those perfect nights in with your favorite girls… or of course, that special someone ;)  Keep these FIVE things in mind and you’ll be sure to have a cute & cozy night.

1. GET COMFY
Wear your favorite loungewear or get into those little jammies of yours.  For us Beach Bunnies?  We like a little glam with our relaxed-wear. Our new “Bling It On” Loungewear gives us a balance of both!

2. SOFT SURROUNDINGS
Grab those throw pillows & fuzzy blankets.  Create a soft space that will make you & your guests feel right at home.

3. REDBOX IT
Okay, so you don’t need to redbox it, but you know what we mean! Rent a new release, put in one of your favorite dvd’s or start that show on Netflix you’ve always wanted to see (and sucker your friends into starting it too).

4. CANDLELIT
 ‘Tis the season for fall-scented candles and boy are we grateful for them.  From pumpkin to sweet cinnamon, there are tons of candles to choose from to get your place smelling like a sweet autumn bakery.

5. SWEET INDULGENCES
Nothing says cozy more than a hot delicious drink! Find a new drink recipe on pinterest and make them with your friends.  Also, don’t forget to load up on snacks for those late night cravings :)

A LITTLE MOTIVATION
Life can throw some unexpected curveballs at anyone, even you hard working Beach Bunny babes!  Usually, these “curveballs” are ones we’d rather not have to deal with; they can be major distractions, cause things to get pushed back and finish lines to seem miles away. Before you know it, you just can’t wait until it’s all over.

Don’t worry about timing. Remember that you’re exactly where you need to be & just trust your life’s rhythm.  You’ll get where you need to go.

In the meantime, enjoy the journey.

Health: Motivation Board

It’s Monday, bunnies, and we know it can be a little difficult at times to stay positive for the week.

So, here are a couple of reminders to keep you MOTIVATED:

1. DON’T STRESS
It’s easier said than done, but the key is persistence.  Make a note to yourself and make it visible.  At the end of the day, remind yourself of all you’ve accomplished and just try to take on your tasks one at a time.

2. WORK OUT
Exercising is important for your general well-being.  Are you at the top of your priority list?  Find a way to include some activity into your schedule — there’s always a way!

3. EAT WELL
Look up easy, healthy recipes on sites like Pinterest to help you out.  Eating well doesn’t have to be boring, expensive or time consuming.  Practice portion control and discipline when it comes to your meals.  Once your diet is healthier, you’ll feel more energized and ready to take on the day.

4. RELAX
Get a good amount of sleep and create a soothing atmosphere in your bedroom.  Burn some candles, play some music, do what you need to do to get back to your center.

5. REWARD
You’re a hard worker.  Reward yourself from time to time! Get a manicure, go out with your friends or indulge in some new buys.  The Beach Bunny “Unbridled” Set in black is not a bad place to start ;)
